Bike the Harlem Valley Rail Trail -en route to Camp Scatico

Join me on a ~30 mile round trip bike ride along the relatively flat Harlem Valley Rail Trail from Copake to Millerton. The asphalt trail passes through bucolic farmlands and forests and by wetlands and creeks. We'll stop for an ice cream in Millerton and if time permits we can ride to the trailhead for Bish Bash Falls and hike the 1.5 mile round trip trail to the falls. Elevation gain: ~674', elevation loss: ~601'. The plan is to arrive at Camp Scatico between 4 -5 pm.

Meet at the parking lot for the Harlem Valley Rail Trail on Orphans Farm Rd in Copake, NY.

What to bring:

• Bike
• Helmet
• Spare tube
• Bike lock
• Water & snacks
• Sunscreen, Bug protection
• Hat, Sunglasses
• Wear layers appropriate to the weather, Rain jacket 

I look forward to seeing you! Please respect trip leaders and other members and arrive on time; we will start biking at 12:15 p.m.

If you register but then are unable to attend, please cancel your registration. Events may be cancelled due to lack of attendance, as well as changes in weather or other circumstances. 

If you must cancel at the last minute, call or text the trip leader (see your confirmation email for contact details) and let her know.
