  • Penn Yann, NY

Registration is closed

This event is a great opportunity for a wonderful hike, plus to learn about Leave No Trace. This hike will be led by Amanda who is certified in the LNT Principles.

The Keuka Lake Outlet Trail is very flat, and winds along the Keuka Lake Outlet. We will see multiple water features. We will discuss the 7 principles of Leave No Trace while walking the trail. We'll likely walk about 2-4 miles.  There are a few trail privies, please see map. It will be an out and back on the Outlet Trail. Dogs are welcome and frequent on the Keuka Lake Outlet Trail. Leashed, well behaved dogs are welcome on our hike.

Bring/Wear: Bring water, as there is no location to fill up. The area can be buggy, so bug spray is recommended, as well as pants tucked into socks to ward off those pesky ticks. Optional: walking stick, camera.

Directions:  The trail head is just past 119 Cherry Street Penn Yann, NY. Continue from that address until you see a small sign and a parking lot on the right.
