Another wonderful park to hike in Jefferson County.  If you have never been it is worth the trip.  Join me Sunday, June 24 for a DOG friendly hike at Robert G Wehle State Park in Henderson.  We will meet at noon in the main entrance parking lot A and hike pick up the snakefoot trail by the lake and hike all the way to the picnic area, have lunch or snack, enjoy the view of the lake, then return via Wehle Rd or whatever trail we decide.  I will have trail maps available.  Estimating approximately 5 mile round trip.  This will be a leisurely walk to admire all the plants, scenery, wildlife, etc.  Those choosing to bring their pet please be sure to have them on a leash.  This is a very popular pet friendly park.  For more information about the park please check out this website  Robert G. Wehle State Park .

Robert G. Wehle State Park is the region's newest park. The former estate of Mr. Wehle, the park boasts 1,100 acres and over 17,000 ft of spectacular Lake Ontario shoreline.

The park is located at 5182 State Park Rd, off of Military Rd in Henderson.  Once you turn into Military Rd the park is about 5 miles down the road on the left.  Can't miss it, plenty of signage.  Google Maps is great.

See you at Wehle. Anna
