Candlelight Snowshoe Hike @ Selkirk Shores State Park

Come enjoy a groomed half mile candlelit trail with me and Mary. Parks and recreation is offering this and I thought what a great way to spend the evening, in the great outdoors.

• Optional Dinner First at 4:30 pm!
We are planning in grabbing a bite to eat before, so for those interested, we will meet around 4:30 pm at The Mill House Market, 3790 NYS Route 3, Pulaski. The Mill House is a great little eatery/country store. They serve great sandwiches’, soup bowls, baked goods and much more. Check out their website www.millhousemarketny.com After an early dinner we’ll head to Selkirk Shores and snowshoe. Afterwards we can enjoy a warm fire and refreshments at the enclosed shelter.

If you do not wish to eat with us, meet us at the park by the shelter. Looking forward to seeing you in the great outdoors.

• What to bring

Bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food pantry. Snow shoes (unless you are renting), poles, dress for the weather.

RSVP and Cancellations – IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ 

Please respect the trip leader and update your RSVP if you sign-up but then are unable to attend. Please also RSVP early, especially if there are only a few signed up. Events may be cancelled due to lack of attendance, as well as changes in weather or other circumstances. So be sure to RSVP and share your cell phone number when asked, as events may have changed and you will not receive notification. If you must cancel at the last minute, call or text the event host/trip leader, as not all leaders have access to the Meetup app on their phones (let her know who it is who is calling/texting). Contact information is included in your registration confirmation. Be sure to copy down the address, directions, and trip leader contact information to bring with you as there might not be good cell service at the event location.
