Please join us for our planning meeting for our Winter calendar. Continuing around our beautiful Finger Lakes region, we will meet this time in Canandaigua at the Wood Public Library. Our planning meetings are always a great way to learn about Women Outdoors (our national organization), to meet members, and to have some fun. Please invite your friends.
We’ll start out at 11:30 am with our planning meeting at the upstairs conference room, and then reward ourselves with lunch, before we head outdoors for a walk or snowshoe (depending on snow cover) on the Ontario Pathways trail off of Rt. 10. It’s very flat and you can go just a little bit and turn around or go for miles and miles.
Bring: a light lunch for yourself, and something small to share. (No kitchen available, but there is a microwave).
Also Bring: your trip ideas of what you would like to do this winter and early spring, your calendar, and appetite. Optional: camera, hiking poles, a friend! Don’t forget to dress for the weather and wear hiking boots or snow shoes.
Location: Wood Public Library, Ewing Family Community Room,
134 North Main Street Canandaigua, NY 14424Directions to the trailhead at Ontario Pathways from the library: Head southeast on N Main St for 0.3 miles. Turn left onto Ontario St. Follow 2.1 miles, and then at the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto County Rd 10. You should see a large, white wooden sign with the word "Ontario County". Turn right into the Ontario County Fairgrounds parking lot. The trailhead is across the road. The Ontario County Fairgrounds address is 2820 Co Rd 10, Canandaigua, NY 14424
This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us.
