Please join us for our Fall Planning Meeting at Mendon Ponds Park near Rochester. We’ll start out at noon with lunch at the beach area, either in the shelter (if available), or in one of the picnic table groups. After lunch, we’ll have our meeting to plan our activities from October thru early January. Stacy will give us a short introduction to orienteering and how to use a compass, and then we’ll head out on the North Meadow trail to find one or more of the controls (orienteering markers) in the park.

Bring: A dish to pass, your trip/event ideas, a calendar, and your appetite.

Also Bring: hiking poles, camera, water, hat, hiking or trail shoes. Dress appropriately for the weather.

And bring a compass if you have one.

Directions:  GPS coordinates 43°01'44.0"N 77°33'30.2"W or 43.028894, -77.558383. Also view this map of the park at  https://www.monroecounty.gov/Image/MendonPark.pdf. Look for the Beach area on the east shore of Hundred Acre Pond, accessible from Douglas Road.

This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us.
