This hike will be 3 to 4 miles with a few steep inclines & declines. We will hike around the upper rim way above the lake with great views and then take the path down to the lake and hike once around. This lower trail around the lake can be narrow and will involve some scrambling in some spots. There are lots of birds and other creatures to see. Clark Reservation is a unique swampy area with a meromictic lake (there is no fall or spring mixing of surface and bottom waters) similar to the one at Green Lakes state park.
Bring: Water, good hiking shoes, binoculars, bug repellent
We will meet 10 am at parking lot; entrance fee is $5/car. Contact the trip leader or join Meetup if you'd like to car-pool
Rain date: August 7th
RSVP and Cancellations
Please respect the trip leader and update your RSVP if you sign-up but then are unable to attend. If you attend without RSVP-ing it is possible that the hike may have changed without notification.
