Birds seen here recently include mergansers and other unusual ducks, 5 kinds of woodpeckers, and more songbirds returning every day. Bring binoculars. This walk will be repeated on several dates this spring.

Trails are flat and we will walk slowly, stopping at observation posts. The lab building opens at 10:00 and is well worth a visit.

Address: 159 Sapsucker Woods Rd, IthacaNY

Directions: Sapsucker Woods is 7 miles from downtown Ithaca and 4.5 miles northeast of the Cornell University campus, off Route 13 across from the Tompkins regional airport. The turn is marked by green road signs with white binoculars. There are several parking lots with plenty of room. We will meet at the lab entrance, where there is a sheltered overhang with benches.

There are no facilities on-site before 10:00, but nearby malls and airport have public restrooms.

This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us.
