Meet at McDonald's Restaurant in Mt. Morris on Rt. 408 at 9:15 AM. We will carpool to the trailhead. We need to stay on schedule for this hike because it's a 30-minute drive to the trailhead in Letchworth State Park from McDonald's. We need 2 hours to hike and be able to get back for a great lunch at Questa Lasagna in Mt. Morris.

Val and I (Jeanie) did a test hike Apr. 18, and the trail is beautiful again this year. It's strenuous and starts off near the Mary Jemison statue and goes off into the woods. It circles around and ends up back at the railroad trestle near the upper falls. We descend the steps along the gorge and end up by the Glen Iris Inn and then walk back uphill to the Mary Jemison statue and parking lot. You'll need snacks, water, a walking stick or poles, sturdy footwear, sunscreen and a hat. It's a nice mix of woods, waterfalls, river and even a fishpond behind Glen Iris Inn stocked with goldfish.

This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us
