Patty& Sandy with a Galapagos TortoiseWomen Outdoors members, Patricia Roth Schwartz and Sandy Zohari, will present us with an amazing account of their 10 day trip to the Galapagos Islands with Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic in January 2008.

Paradise Preserved: Our Journey to the Galapagos Islands will cover the flora and fauna, geography, history, and geology of the islands that Darwin had visited so many years ago on the ship, the Beagle, and thereby changed the world. You will also learn about eco-tourism as one of the best ways to preserve the wild areas of the world and how Ecuador is doing a better job in this regard than the U.S. A slide show of photographs will accompany the talk.
