SURVIVAL KITS
COMING TO YOU ON ZOOM
The five basic needs that we went over in our first class together can be used as a template to create a list of supplies (a survival kit) for any situation. In this next class we'll look at how to select items for a kit whether it's for a day-hike, backpacking trip, or in your car for emergencies. As a general rule: "the more you know the less you need to carry". However it's much easier and more efficient to carry rope/line with me rather than make it in the field (assuming I know how). Knowing how to use that line effectively to tie various knots/hitches/lashings is also necessary. Why carry something you don't know how to use? So we will also go into some basic concepts on how to use some of those items. Depending on time, we may stretch this class over two different dates and each will be one hour long. (Jan 13 and Jan 27). "See" you there!
